Greeting to all my Brothers and Sister of St. Nicholas, It never ceases to amaze me how our Blessed Father cares for our every need. First, I can never thank you enough for the love and generosity of the Spirit that is exemplified, not just the gift of the beautiful Psalter, but most importantly in your time and caring and the fact that for you these are not just words on a page “for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink’; I was a stranger and you took me in…” My thanks seem to be so insufficient but it is offered in all humility, coupled with my heartfelt prayers for all of the people and families of Saint Nichols. May the Love of God surround each and every one of you, comforting you with His Blessed Peace…. Elijah
Elijah is one of 40 participants in our prison ministry. Read the rest of his letter; it is posted on the bulletin board in the hall. We send a monthly “Good-NewsLetter” and carry on personal correspondence, encouraging and educating men and women who are looking for meaning in their lives. In the past 12 years, we have baptized 6 souls into the Church and there are several more who long to be baptized, but are out of our reach; the harvest is ripe but the workers are few. Share in the blessing of “visiting those in prison” by supporting our efforts with a small donation. We have a jar on the candle table. Donations help with printing and postage and occasionally we raise enough to send books.
